چکیده
O objetivo central deste trabalho é compreender as tensões que provocaram a extinção da Universidade do Distrito Federal (UDF/RJ) e o fim de um projeto inovador formação professores Artes, acontecia no Instituto Artes referida universidade na década 1930. referencial teórico norteia reflexões desta pesquisa baseia-se nos trabalhos dos seguintes autores: Basbaum (1976), Fávero (2004), Lopes (2006, 2009) Mendonça (2002). A metodologia consistiu em análise documental acervos das instituições: Programa Estudos Documentação Educação Sociedade UFRJ, Projeto Portinari PUC-Rio, Fundação Casa Rui Barbosa Hemeroteca Digital Biblioteca Nacional. fontes possibilitou confirmar práticas artísticas inovadoras aconteciam (IA/UDF) promoviam experimentação novas técnicas materiais, assim como contribuíam para elaboração obras rompiam com padrão arte acadêmica. Isso resultava representação povo suas diversas manifestações, provocando grande incômodo setores conservadores, tanto meio artístico quanto político.
